CLUB INFORMATION


Keynsham Photographic Society meets weekly
at 7.30pm for 7.45pm on Wednesday evenings
from September to April at The Fear Hall (First
Floor) High Street, Keynsham, Bristol.

The annual subscription is £50 per member.
The annual subscription for those aged under18
and in school education is half the current
membership fee.
New members may attend three meetings for a
nominal fee of £3 per evening after which they
will be invited to join. Any weekly fee paid prior
to invitation to join will be deducted from the
subscription due.
On payment of the annual subscription each
member of Keynsham Photographic Society is
automatically a member of both the WCPF and
PAGB.
Visitors are always welcome.

WCPF & PAGB

The Western Counties Photographic
Federation (WCPF) was founded in 1932
and is affiliated to the Photographic Alliance
of Great Britain (PAGB). The Federation is
made up of 94 Clubs and Societies covering
a large geographical area. This extends from
Stroud in the North West, across Swindon in
the North East, from Weymouth in the South
and all counties down to Lands End in
Cornwall.
The PAGB is an organisation that co-
ordinates specific activities for photographic
Clubs and Societies in England, Scotland,
Wales and Northern Ireland, through 15
geographical Federations. These activities
include National Photographic Events and
services such as recorded lectures for Clubs
and Societies.

CLUB CONSTITUTION


AFFILIATED TO THE PHOTOGRAPHIC
ALLIANCE OF GREAT BRITAIN
THROUGH THE WESTERN COUNTIES
PHOTOGRAPHIC FEDERATION.


The Society shall be known as the Keynsham
Photographic Society. Membership shall be
open to all those interested in photography in
all respects.

RULES

1. Membership.
All interested in photography shall be
eligible for full membership. The annual
subscriptions shall be agreed from time to
time at the A.G.M. Members joining after
1st January will pay half the annual rate.
For so long as the Society continues to meet
at the Fear Hall all fully paid up members
over the age of 16 are automatically
members of the Fear Hall; their annual fee
being paid for on their behalf by the Society.

2.Honorary Members

Honorary Members shall be restricted to
those who have been of outstanding service
to the Society. They shall be elected for life
at a meeting of the Society, by two thirds
majority of those present.

3.Subscriptions

Subscriptions shall become due on the first
meeting of the Winter Season and must be
paid not later than the first meeting in
November following or membership will
lapse. People under 18, in school education,
pay half the current subscription.

4. Annual General Meeting
The A.G.M will be held during the month of
April.

5. New Members

New Members may attend three consecutive
meetings after which they will be invited to
join and subscriptions shall become due.

6. Management

The Management of the Society shall be
vested in a Committee consisting of the
following officers:
Chairman, Vice Chairman, General
Secretary, Treasurer, Programme Secretary
and six other members; five to form a
quorum.
The Chairman shall be empowered with a
casting vote to be used at his or her
discretion. The Committee shall have the
power to co-opt members if and when
required.

7. Election of Officers
The Officers and Committee shall be elected
annually at the A.G.M for one year. All
members to be eligible for re-election. All
voting for the election of Officers and
Committee shall be by secret ballot.

8. Special General Meeting

At the request of not less than six members,
submitted in writing to the General
Secretary and stating the purpose for which
a meeting is required, a special General
Meeting shall be convened within one
month of receipt of such a request. No other
business than that for which the meeting was
called shall be transacted at such an SGM.

9. Nominations
All nominations (duly seconded) for
Officers and Committee and any matters to
be added to the agenda of the A.G.M shall
be made to the General Secretary not less
than 14 days prior to the A.G.M.

10. Collection of Subscriptions

The Treasurer shall collect all subscriptions
due to the Society and shall give formal
receipts.
Cheques shall be signed by the Treasurer
and Chairman or Secretary.
The Treasurer shall prepare a statement of
accounts for submission to the A.G.M, after
the accounts have been audited by two
ordinary members of the Society appointed
for the purpose.

11. Constitution

The rules and constitution shall be subject to
a special committee meeting convened
annually for the purpose of any amendments
necessary and any proposed changes will be
submitted for approval at the A.G.M.

12. Payments
No fee or payment shall be made to any
member for any services rendered to the
Society or for any other reason, but this shall
not preclude the payment of out of pocket
expenses incurred by him or her in
connection with the business of the Society.

13. Winding Up
In the event of the winding up of the
Society, any assets remaining shall be
handed to a suitable charity approved by the
Committee.

14. Rules
Each member shall receive a copy of these
rules and membership shall distinctly imply
acceptance thereof.
